Throwing Pots and Snapping Pics

Today we learned some numbers. You probably think I am all sarcastic about learning Greek, but I actually really love learning other languages. To be honest, the more languages I learn, the more I learn how English is absolutely a terrible language. I have so much more respect for people who have to learn English with every new language that I explore. We also learned some possessive words like; my, our, his, etc. We are slowly being able to hold a much longer conversation.

Today we learned about metering in class, but my favorite part was the afternoon section when we did critiques of the first set of photographs that we turned in. I love hearing input from my classmates on how I can improve my work, and they also help me see things from a new angle. We also started watching a film on Annie Leibovitz. All I can say about that is "holy crap is she an awesome photographer." We saw her working with celebrities and different models and it is just amazing. She is the perfect balance of fun personality producing the best photographs. If you have never heard of her, look her up, you won't be disappointed.

After class, the photography students heading to a ceramica studio where we got to throw some pots (TONS of pictures from here will be posted). I also managed to get a couple panning shots. I screamed with joy when I saw that I successfully had snapped a photo that I had been trying so hard to catch. I also took some pictures of the sculptures that were at the studio. I just ate dinner and I am getting ready to go out to Fira tonight and take some pictures. Hopefully it isn't too windy in Fira, because right now it is crazily windy in Kamari. The wind would wreak havoc on our shutter photos. Fingers crossed.
