Photography in Another City

So tonight we went to Fira to take pictures. Mission accomplished. I got the photographs that I was needing. Thank you to all the motor vehicles in Fira for providing me with the lights that I needed to create the images that I needed. Secondly we also got to experience the nightlife while in Fira.

Even on a Wednesday you would be surprised how busy the city is. It is crazy. Shops were open and of course bars and such. It is weird to see shops open so late, since usually private shops in the States close at  about 5:00 - 7:00pm and if you're lucky it stays open until 9:00pm or even 10:00pm for those "special stores." It was just interesting to see a city so alive as such an hour. I thought Kamari was an interesting town, but Fira is clearly the New York or Los Angeles of this island it seems.

The highlight of the evening (besides getting the photos that I needed) was practicing for my Greek quiz tomorrow with our taxi driver. He was quizzing us on our numbers (1-20) but was also helping us with more (numbers 21-100). We had an awesome trip back and got to have some fun interaction with the local people of Greece. We also were able to travel across the island to Fira for 10 Euro (one way). Not too bad when you split it between 4 people. Overall, it was an excellent night and now I must sort through soe photographs to post of here. I have a feeling there will be a few of them.
