Switchback, Volcanos, and Boat Jumping

If you have ever been in a bus on a switchback road it is insane. These bus drivers have some mad skills. These roads only looked big enough to fit about 2 regular sized cars (since this island is not really built for anything bigger). We had to go up one to get to the other side of the island, and then we had to go down one so we could get to the bottom of that side (we also had to repeat this process coming home). My heart was beating intensely but we made it back safely.

Today we went to a volcano. I don't know how to make that not sound somewhat dangerous, even though only one of volcano was still active (but it only erupts about every 75 years so we got some time). We hiked from the ocean to about 1200 meters high in about the span of two miles, so that was an adventure in itself. Once at the top we had about 10 minutes to grab as many pictures as we wanted and then we had to head back down in order to keep our schedule.

Once we got back to the boat we then went to a hotspring (more just warm than hot). The boat stopped 150 feet away from the hotspring so we had to jump from the boat into the ocean and then swim to the hotspring. The ocean was about 64 degrees and then the hotspring was about 74 degrees. We had some fun rubbing the mineral deposits on our skins, but there are no pictures since we kind of had to swim there and couldn't bring our cameras.

Once back we had to take our Greek quiz and then we went to the beach and just chilled. It was very nice to just have some time to relax (since we don't meet tonight for our feast until 8:00pm). We waded into the ocean, which felt freezing after laying in the sun for an hour. Now we are getting ready for tonight and then we are going shopping for tomorrow (a few of us are planning to make a big egg breakfast). But I will go for now, some pictures to come later (mostly just fun ones today).
